Microchannel plate

Microchannel plate is an avalanche electronic multiplier. Semiconducting layer coating on the inside surface of channel with property of secondary electron emission is prepared by hydrogen reducing. While input electrons impact the channel inner wall, more secondary electrons eject. After impacting many times, more than 103 electrons are output from the output end of MCP. So, MCP is characteristic of strengthening weak electronic signal, widely used in low light imaging,  particle detecting and other fields. According to the needs of the user, the microchannel plate channel diameter, effective area, electrode materials can be customized.
